Fresh food rescue and community nutrition support Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Nutri Box

About Us

A clear look at why Nutri Box exists, what we do, and how food rescue becomes community nutrition support.

What we do

Nutri Box bridges food waste and hunger.

Nutri Box is a Tanzania-based food rescue and community nutrition initiative working to move safe surplus produce from farms, markets and suppliers to families and institutions that need nutritious food.

Across many communities, fresh food can be lost before it reaches a plate while households face hunger, malnutrition and rising food costs. Nutri Box exists to close that gap with organized collection, sorting, distribution, sponsorship and community garden support.

  • Mission: Rescue fresh food, reduce waste and strengthen nutrition access for vulnerable households.
  • Vision: A community where good food is valued, shared and used to protect dignity.
  • Model: Food rescue, family sponsorship, institutional partnerships and practical growing skills.
